Small Nonprofits Deserve a True HR Partner

WHY CLOVER HR

There are many capable HR consultants, but few have worked inside a nonprofit, managed a team on a restricted budget, sat in board meetings, or navigated grant-funded staffing decisions.

That firsthand nonprofit experience is what sets Clover HR Solutions apart.

A Relationship Built on Trust

The nonprofits I work with are more than clients; they are partners. I take time to understand your mission, team, culture, and the specific challenges you face. Over time, that relationship makes the guidance I provide even more valuable.

My goal is to ensure that when an HR issue comes up, you feel supported and never have to navigate it alone.

Executive-Level HR Experience at a Nonprofit Price Point

Senior HR expertise is often out of reach for small nonprofits. Consultants with executive-level experience typically charge rates that do not fit a limited budget. Clover HR Solutions was created to change that.

Starting at $500 per month for the smallest organizations, you receive access to 28 years of HR experience, executive-level nonprofit leadership, and a partner who genuinely cares about the work you do in the community.

I Have Worked Inside Organizations Like Yours

Few HR consultants can say they have worked inside organizations like yours. I served as Chief of Staff at the Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation, partnering with executive leadership and the board while overseeing HR, finance, development, grant writing, and programs. At West Health, I was promoted from Director of Human Resources to Vice President of Operations & Human Resources, leading HR, IT, operations, and facilities across multiple nonprofit entities. I also served as Director of Human Resources and Administration at the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program, supporting HR, operations and grant management as second in command.

When you call me about an HR issue, I consider more than employment law. I also think about your funding structure, culture, board dynamics, budget cycle, and team capacity. That broader nonprofit perspective makes the guidance you receive more practical, relevant, and effective.

You Can Call Without Worrying About the Bill

Small nonprofits often go without HR support because they worry about cost. A quick question should not lead to an unexpected invoice. That is why Clover HR Solutions uses a monthly retainer model with transparent, affordable pricing.

As an Advisory or Partner client, you can call when you need support and ask the questions that come up. That is exactly what the retainer is designed for.

Real Answers. No Jargon.

Employment law is complex, and California employment law is especially so. It also changes often. My role is to translate those requirements into clear, practical guidance that makes sense for your organization.

You should not have to spend hours researching a leave-of-absence question and still feel unsure about the answer. That is what I am here to help with.

"Small nonprofits do big work. You deserve HR support that understands that."
