I'm Siobhan Graham, and I have spent more than 28 years in HR building the kind of expertise that used to only exist inside large companies. Now I bring that same executive-level knowledge to small businesses and nonprofits in a fractional way, so you get a seasoned HR partner at a price that actually makes sense for where you are.
My appreciation for small business started long before my HR career. I grew up watching my father run his own business in Ireland, and I learned early on what it takes to build something, keep people together, and make it work. That foundation never left me. It is why I care so deeply about HR that goes beyond policies and paperwork and actually supports the results a business is working toward. Good HR should help you grow, protect what you have built, and make your team stronger.
I started my career moving through some well-known organizations, including Maxwell Technologies, Sanyo, McGraw-Hill, and Wawanesa General Insurance, where I led HR for the entire US operation. Those years gave me a strong foundation and an executive-level perspective on what great HR looks like. But it was at West Health, where I had the opportunity to build the HR function from the ground up for their PACE program in San Marcos, that something clicked. Building something from nothing — systems, processes, culture — for a mission-driven organization was exactly the kind of work I was meant to do.
After that I went on to build HR departments from scratch at Shore Management, the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program, and F&F Properties. Every time, I was reminded that small businesses and nonprofits have just as many HR needs as the big guys, sometimes more, and far fewer resources to address them.
That is why I started Clover HR Solutions. To bring everything I have learned to the founders, business owners, and nonprofit leaders who are ready for a real HR partner.
When I am not working, you will find me at Dog Beach with my dog Cooper, out on San Diego Bay, or spending time with my family and friends. I was born and raised in Ireland, and I have proudly called San Diego home for more than 28 years.
